There are few things more exciting for someone exploring the outdoors than hopping on a Polaris ATV and riding off into the wilderness. Polaris is one of the premier manufacturers of all-terrain vehicles and its model line features an array of choices for any outdoor activity. With the proper model and gear and the right terrain to tackle with it you can turn any drive into a fun wilderness tour.

Polaris makes three lines of ATV, each suited to a specific purpose or work type. The Sportsman is a single-rider do-it-all off-roading machine designed to tackle mud, rocks, hills and anything else nature can throw at it. They are rugged and powerful with minimal bells and whistles to slow a rider down. Things can be carried or towed or torn down with a Sportsman but it is not the type of heavy-duty yardwork machine that the Ranger or Ranger RZR models are. Those two lines feature side-by-side seating and metal roll-cages. Some come with an extra axle to support rear wheels and a carrying bed for yard supplies or camping gear. Even with the added features these two Polaris models are just as rugged and powerful, designed to get the riders deep into wilderness where regular vehicles cannot go.

When riding a Polaris ATV the places to go are virtually limitless. But for a true Polaris off-road experience head to some ATV trails in your town. Like hiking trails they wind through the wilderness outside of major cities. And there is no better place to break in a Polaris model than on these courses designed to test but not break your four-wheeled machine. Dirt, rocks, water and more will be available to ride around and through all without worry of something impassable coming around the corner. And if you can get up into the foothills of some mountains the views from the areas your Polaris can reach are indescribably beautiful.
